This car is presented in the original colour scheme and specification that it left the factory in 1961, as verified by its Heritage certificate. It has had a number of upgrades in recent times, and has had over £12,000 spent on it in the last 4 years. It is the subject of an older restoration, which included new front wings, inner and outer sills, spring mounts and jacking points, Coombs rear spats and bonnet louvres.

The car was resprayed in its original pearlescent blue colour, and re-trimmed in its original pale blue coloured leather by Suffolk and Turley. New carpet set from Suffolk & Turley fitted 2015. New seat belts fitted front and rear in 2015.

The engine was rebuilt with re-ground crankshaft, re-bored with new pistons, camshaft and timing chain, oil pump and fitted with gold specification cylinder head and 2” SU carburettors, all fully balanced and produces some 260 BHP. New starter motor fitted 2015.

The 4 speed manual transmission has a rebuilt synchromesh with overdrive gearbox, new clutch (2015), rebuilt rear axle and prop shaft complete with Salisbury limited slip differential.

Brakes – four pot vented discs to the front, with standard discs to the rear. All replaced in 2017 with new hubs, bearings, callipers and pads.

It is fitted with a Vicarage power steering installation derived from an XJS.

It is fitted with Spax adjustable shock absorbers and Harvey Bailey roll bars front and rear. Rear axle assembly has been powder coated. New suspension bushes just fitted.

The cooling system has a rebuilt radiator with additional core and has recently been fitted with an electric cooling fan and thermostatic controller, expansion tank and silicone hoses.

The car has a stainless steel exhaust. New battery fitted 2017.

It has new rubbers all round to doors, bonnet, boot etc.

The car was fitted with brand new chrome wire wheels and chrome ear spinners and brand new Blockley tyres in 2017. (The original painted wire wheels and tyres are retained in store).

There is an extensive history file, receipts, MoTs, handbook, and complete tool kit and two sets of keys.
